#192 Cosmic Myth Series- Legend of the Seven Seas, 1980 Oil on canvas 52" x 78 1/2" |
Cosmic Myth Series The context of this iconic imagery is generally a landscape that is both of the mind and, in a very special sense, also of the external world. These mental landscapes are the settings for dramatic events which, though they are nameless and seemingly beyond words, nonetheless depict dramatic encounters of spiritual forces and transformations of spiritual states of being. She discovered ways in which amorphous clouds of acrylic color, floating as if in a limitless space of white light, could suggest a condition of unalienated psychic openness and meditation. - Edward F. Fry Art Historian and Critic
